Maybe your care provider recommended Spinning Babies® to you. Perhaps you found their website on your own. Or this may be the first time you’ve heard of Spinning Babies®.
The first thing to know is that no one will be actually spinning your baby. Rather, it’s an approach to birth that focuses on the concepts of Balance, Gravity and Movement. Which help create more space and ease in the pregnant person during pregnancy. These same concepts can be used during birth.
I decided to become a certified Spinning Babies® Parent Educator because while the approach is a good one, I could sense people needed personalized support in navigating all that is shared through their website. A more personalized experience to help customize the content to their unique self.
What the Spinning Babies® Parent Educator Class Covers:
Basic Spinning Babies® techniques to practice during pregnancy
Which techniques to take with you into birth
Daily Essential Activities to do during pregnancy
Modifying these activities to your specific needs
How baby moves through the three levels of the pelvis
Movements to try during specific stages of labor related to these levels
The Three Balances℠ - during pregnancy to release tension around the pelvis and find more comfort
How & why to use The Three Balances℠ during labor and birth
Basics of Belly Mapping
And more…
Who is this class for?
Any pregnant person and ideally, their support person(s)
Join 16 weeks & beyond. Ideal during the 2nd trimester or early 3rd trimester.
This class is not meant to address a breech or transverse position baby near their due time.
If your baby has not found themselves head down by week 33 - 35, book a private Spinning Babies® Aware Practitioner bodywork session.
This session blends the concepts of some Spinning Babies® Parent Educator techniques with focused, hands-on bodywork support to release muscle tension which creates more space in your body for baby may move into.
Do you have an ECV (External Cephalic Version) scheduled? This procedure is when your care provider externally tries to move your baby into a head down position. It is an intense procedure. A bodywork session 24 hours or less before the ECV can help your body and mind be as relaxed as possible before the procedure.
Group Class Size & Private Sessions:
Class is limited to 3 - 5 families max to allow for teaching and practice time with focused, hands-on support.
Private childbirth education sessions allow for a more unique experience. We cover the same material, but with a focus on you and your personal needs.
How Long is the Class and What is the Cost:
The class is 3 hours long
Group Classes are $150
Individual Sessions are $225
